Country is played on pop radios, rap is now in country, and so many other collaborative efforts encourage this branching out and crossover movement. Another really fantastic genre merge are Christian groups and musicians on mainstream radio channels. Luckily, today’s contemporary Christian music is very appealing to many. Not only is there now a genre of country rap, with specific country rappers, but even hip hop artists are collaborating with country stars for country songs and vice versa. For two genres that are so very different, it is great to see the musical world understands and recognizes the talents of other genre artists. There is not a huge list of collaborations yet, but I think with the hits of country rapper Colt Ford and different featured awards shows collaborations, we may see more to this country rap genre.
