Beyonce has amazed us all with her stunning beauty and majestic voice for years. It should come to no surprise that she has done this yet again with a song from her new album “4″. Beyonce’s Countdown is one of my new favorite songs. I was sitting there listening to the same songs over and over again. You know the feeling when you already know exactly what the next ten lyrics and the exact pitch are going to be before it even gets there. That’s when you know that you need to find some new songs to listen to.

I was to that point so I pulled up itunes homepage and started looking through some of the new releases. I scrolled through the albums looking at various artists names and I stopped when I saw Beyonce. I had a flashback to hearing one of her new songs on MTV a few weeks before so I thought that if I heard it again I might recognize it. I remembered it had a catchy chorus so I started listening to the previews, after the second one I found it!

Beyonce’s Countdown was exactly what I was looking for. It was new, unique and nothing like I had ever heard before. I was instantly hooked and I think that you will be too.

One of the things that I love about music is the fact that it is something that people love to share. If you are a musician, you do not just simply keep your music to yourself. You want as many people as possible to hear it and enjoy it. Keeping music on the down low would mean that you would not have an audience, so what would be the point? Sharing is fun, especially when you are sharing music. How are people sharing the music that they love these days?

Social media is making music sharing super fun and easy. Thanks to social media music is pretty much better than ever because you can find new music, share music, talk about music, and even promote your favorite bands. No matter what social networking site you prefer, all of them make it easy to listen to, share, and participate in music. you can see evidence of this in the infographic that is below.

If you are a musician and you are not yet using social media, what are you waiting for? Get your music heard and grow your fan base. Sure, it takes a little time, but in the end it will be so very worth it.

Google music is here, finally. Lots of people have been waiting for Google to open up its music service for months, perhaps as an alternative to iTunes, for Android users. But everyone can use Google Music. It works a little differently on an Android phone than it does on your desktop. It is important to note that in order to use Google Music, you’ll need to register a payment method in Google Wallet, whether you actually end of using that or not. The payment method stays on hand to ensure that a way to pay for purchases is always available.

Google Music is both player and library in one. It’s as safe as your home security team, with totally secure transactions. You buy your music on the Android Market site. That is true even if you don’t own or use any Android devices of your own. Here is how to use it: at the Google Music site, just download the Music Manager app, and it will scan your PC or Mac for music files and upload them to your cloud-based music locker. It’s a pretty clever concept. You can find out more about using Google Music in the video below:

As the iPad continues its upward surge in the tablet market it basically invented, its growing influence over vast areas of lifestyle and professional usage has been nothing short of phenomenal. In the area of music production and recording alone, the results of these emerging technologies with software such as Apple’s GarageBand combined with the iPad2 is that an ordinary person with an idea for a song can now theoretically produce an entire album all by his lonesome and market it independently through iTunes and other outlets, potentially achieving a kind of viral stardom previously unknown to the music industry.

Major artists like Gorillaz have already incorporated iPad into their professional music production, with Gorillaz have made an entire album using only the iPad. Check out the video below to see how you, too, could become a music mogul by producing your own album using GarageBand. Who knows where it might lead you? Owl City, another one-man act, basically uses his Mac and a keyboard, and probably GarageBand, too. In fact, a quick search of YouTube.com will yield several remakes of the classic Owl City hits Hello Seattle and Fireflies by ordinary people, using GarageBand.

Enjoy this video introducing the software and explaining how to make the most of it..

Have you ever heard a song and you just got it? Andrew Allen “Loving You Tonight” made sense and fit. Fit your mood, said all of the right things and made you bop your head in just the right way? If so, good for you; if not, then maybe you’re not listening to the right music.

About a month or so ago, I was getting used to the idea of “summertime”. You know, balmy 80 something degrees day after day, swimming pools, lakes and fireflies. Barbequing and afternoon thunderstorms. Like I said sweet, perfect, “summertime”! Anyway, I had just returned from a long weekend trip to the Atlantic Ocean and as I was unpacking turned my television to VH1 Music Videos. I was separating clothes worn and unworn deciding those to be laundered and not as I found myself swaying to what was coming out of the television. It was nothing I had heard before but I liked it so I turned the volume up. The song was called “Loving You Tonight” sung by Andrew Allen.

Basically, it’s about this guy and girl who are both very busy with their jobs during the day and life in general. But what gets this man through the day is the knowing of coming home to his girl. Knowing that when he comes through the door at the end of the day and he’s running on empty, she’ll make him full. She’ll ask, “How was your day”? And he’ll say, “Crazy”. But it’s all going to be alright. Over a glass of red wine or slow dance, they’re going to get to know each other again.

One of the versus in the song says, “Everyday is just the in between; the hours separating you from me”. Hearing that has to be one of the sweetest things, thoughts or statements I’ve ever heard. Because again he knows that everything’s going to be alright, she’ll be waiting for him at the end of the day. And he’ll be loving her tonight.

So maybe had I heard this song on a different day, season or even possible time in my life, the nostalgia of it all would have not pulled my heartstrings, put such a smile on my face or warmed me from the inside out like it did. But as it sits now, I can’t wait to get to work tomorrow, because I know what I’m coming home to! I get it! And I can’t shake this fuzzy feeling! Sometimes being caught up in the rat race of daily life we forget what it’s all for or about. We get lost in the days. So I’m giving everyone a suggestion, start tomorrow differently. Download Andrew Allens, “Loving You Tonight”. Start with your own bopping and swaying, I promise you won’t be disappointed. And when everyone around the office asks what you keep smiling at, tell them you’re thinking about what you’re coming home to. Celebrate and take care of each other!

With so much violence going on in the world it’s hard to take the time to recognize the people that promote peace and happiness among all people. One of the people to do this is Bob Marley. He always promoted the good in life and to get along with others. Although he had some problems of his own, his main goal in life was for everything to be okay.

I recently visited Jamaica, the birth place of Bob Marley. There are many monuments, places, things, and items for sale that are in honor of Marley. The people of Jamaica seem to have adapted his outlook on the world. Many of them don’t worry about what they have, or being late to work. They take life one day at a time and commonly say “no worries” and “yea mon”. These are very similar to some of Bob’s famous lyrics “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”.

“Don’t Worry, Be Happy” is one of Marley’s most famous songs. This song paints the picture for the perfect world. In this world nothing bothers you no matter what it may be. He says that worrying about things will only make them worse. This is true in everyday life as well. If you worry about everything you are going to miss the moments in life when you are happy and everything is going right.

Here’s a little bit more information about the reggae legend, Bob Marley.

Her clothes have caught our attention but her music is what makes her famous. She has released a new song “You and I”.

“You and I” is going to be on her yet to be released album. She performed “You and I” for the guests of Elton John’s White Tie and and Tiara Ball benefit on the 21st. She performed several songs for the audience telling them that her new song is a ”rock-and-roll tune”. Before she began, she spoke to the crowd telling them ”This is a brand-new record that no one’s ever heard before … ever”, ”And I’ve never, ever played it live, ever.”

She showed up on stage in true Gaga fashion being dressed in a black sparkling bra and underwear, topped off with black boots. She played her new tune live seated at a piano on stage. She brought out the rock and roll of the song as she pounded the keys threw her heel up on the keyboard as she was standing on the bench playing. It’s been reported that the song had a very rustic and growling sound when Gaga preformed the song live for the guests. To end her dramatic performance she laid down on the piano bench with her head on the floor.

These are the first few verses of her new song:

“It’s been a long time since I came around
Been a long time but I’m back in town
This time I’m not leaving without you

You taste like whiskey when you kiss me, oooh
I’ll give anything again to be your baby doll
This time I’m not leaving without you

He said sit back down where you belong
In the corner of my bar with your high heels on
Sit back down on the couch where we
made love for first time and you said to me

Something, something about this place
Something ‘bout lonely nights and my lipstick on your face
Something, something about my cool Nebraska guy
Yeah something about
Baby you and I”

– Lady Gaga

Gaga says that the song has a special meaning to her, because it’s about one of her friends from Nebraska. She told Omaha radio station about the meaning and plan for the songs music video. She said that she actually went to a corn field in Nebraska to shoot the video and monsters were going to pop up all around in the field. She also said that she was going to be dressed in New York fashion with bloody feet sprinting her way to Nebraska. She wanted to show the struggle that she would go through to see her beloved friend again.

Gaga is always putting her own spin on things and keeping it intresting, we expect nothing less from the talented artist. We all look forward to the release of the video to “You and I”.

“I think music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music” Billy Joel said this in explaining his opinion on musical expressions.
